The competitiveness of the Wielkopolskie Voivodeship is the ability to adapt to changing challenges and economic, social and environmental tasks. It is also creating new conditions for the development, which help to maintain or strengthen the position of the region on a national and international level. The task of the present paper is to determine the European fund impact on the development of Wielkopolskie Voivodeship. The funds from this source are used, among others, to support the Polish science, access to modern Information and Communication Technologies, and more effective protection of the environment. Thanks to the EU one can talk about the development of a significant number of Wielkopolska companies and strengthening their position on the international markets.
